Greetings fellow strugglers, scouts, and sovereigns! If you are reading this, then you have made your way from the story to the wiki and may be interested in learning more about Freedom Engineering, or would like to contribute.
If you would like to see Freedom Engineering become a product you can profit from as well as spread the message of freedom and liberty, then take some initiative and help out where you can!
The
Encyclopedia of Freedom Engineering is a collaborative project, so if you have ideas about a topic, feel free to write them down... even if they are rough! Take a look at some of the pages I have started... many of them are stubs, but you have to start somewhere! The more of us who are updating the wiki, the greater the chance that others will become interested, check out the updates regularly, and start participating as well.
In addition to the wiki project, there are various Freedom Engineering projects underway: the CG series, the live action series, the MMO game, the audiobook version of the novel, etc. All of these projects will need volunteers and collaborators, even if you don't know how you could help, you probably can! We are looking for people with experience or interest in learning: voice acting, design, art(2d/3d), animation, sound effects, visual effects, music, programming, audio/video editing, and much more! Get in contact with
Vitus Choice or Ben Woods
? if you are interested.
- Choose an identity (Free-Name) that isn't associated with your birth-identity.
- Get encrypted email set up... use this tutorial
if you need help. While Comail
(Comoro Email)'s encryption works between Comoro users, you will most likely wish to conduct secure business with people outside of our little network. Getting all your friends and family using PGP in their daily lives will help protect the privacy and security of countless individuals. Plus, the more stuff that is encrypted, the bigger the haystack for those agents to pick through.
- You may have to explain some of these topics to your friends and family, so it would be helpful if you understood them yourself (such as dual key pairs, tying a key pair to an email addy, when keys expire, etc). I am currently looking for a GOOD article on the concepts of encryption with dual keys, if you know of one, please post it here! Otherwise, try this
, or this
...
- You may want to have an extra layer of security between you and the internet, in which case, anonymouse proxy internet services like Metropipe are a viable option for hiding your browsing footprints.
- Create an account on comoro.net so that you can use the log-in form at the right and get edit privileges for the wiki, etc.
- When your @www.comoro.net account is set up, I strongly recommend installing and hopping on Spark IM? and the Liberty Lounge so that we can communicate and collaborate better.
- Jump on the forums if you'd rather not mess with the Wiki yet and feel free to ask questions or start conversations there.
- When you have figured out how to edit wiki pages (use the wiki help button at the bottom of the page), feel free to start adding bits of info to pages (or whole pages!) where you see the need. Remember, its a wiki, which means if we don't like your changes... we can just roll it back a few revisions
.
- Consider creating a 'profile' page ( see VitusChoice ) where you can share personal and contact information that you would rather not repeat to everyone you meet. You can, of course, simply have this written in an email which you can send securely to the recipient... this is just to make learning about your fellow Freedom Fighters easier. You can see on mine and Nailo's profile that we give a little background info, talk about where we stand as far as being Free Individuals, list off our services that we are offering, how to get in contact, who our friends in the community are (so far!), links to more info, etc.
And as always, keep the fight for Liberty alive!
